Good Life Race 5K

Every spring the Oak Park Runners Club hosts the Good Life Race 5K race and fitness walk, Youth Mile run, and Junior Dash in Oak Park. Club members are encouraged to run the race as well as volunteer for the many behind-the-scenes and race day activities. Of course, this race is open to the public and all are invited to participate.

For more information on the Good Life Race visit the race website.

CARA Competition

The Oak Park Runners Club participates in the Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA) Runners Choice Circuit Competition each year. All Oak Park Runners Club members are encouraged to run these circuit races regardless of their pace. Every person who runs for our team helps! You do not need to be a CARA member to earn points for the club. All you have to do is be a member of OPRC, sign up for the race and run!

CARA Circuit Races

The CARA Runners’ Choice Circuit is our competitive series of races. CARA members can compete in this circuit of races for points and year-end awards in Overall, Individual Age Group, Clydesdale and Club competitions (see below). This Circuit was assembled with the input of CARA’s membership, the CARA Racing Committee, the CARA staff and CARA Board of Directors.
