Once again The Race That's GOOD For LIFE is excited to be donating its proceeds to the Collaboration for Early Childhood charity. After the 2014 race we were proud to donate $15,000 to the Collaboration for Early Childhood. Help us top this amount in 2015!
The focus of Collaboration for Early Childhood is to provide support for learning and development for Oak Park’s pre-kindergarten children. Research has shown that shown that high-quality early learning environments coupled with support for at-risk families lead to: Lower rates of participation in special education, lower rates of involvement with the criminal justice system, higher rates of high school graduation and higher incomes and rates of home ownership.
We are pleased to be able to link Oak Park’s premier race event with this effort to help Oak Park’s youngest residents.
